Everyone loves a good game especially ones where you play against your best friends. Worms World Party is a game that gives you exactly that. You play with and kill worms on the screen trying to beat your friend and win different game awards of most boring worm or worms with most kills and for fun you can try to win all of the awards.

In worms you probably collect the biggest array of weapons you will see in your life and get to choose – ranging from bazookas and grenades where you plan the shooting angle, the explosion timer and bouncing capability to Armageddon where you pretty much blow up everything on the screen with a touch of the button. The game also includes the infamous concrete donkey – nothing escapes its vengeance – and the scientist weapon which drowns everyone for a comeback from a losing game to a tie in just one crate’s worth of energy. There are firearms, ninja ropes, drills, sheep and cows each with their own wacky powers. Moreover you get to collect extra rare weapons on the battlefield in crates and extra powers such as fast walk or see through crates in blue boxes. Finally there are even other crates with more rarity such as the blue wooden crate that makes you invisible!

So worms has a lot of weapons but what beyond that? How is it played? You control a fleet of worms and different turns for each worm where you choose a weapon to use – your goal is to kill all your opponent’s worms before he does the same to you.

There are training missions to help you get the game basics and hone your skills and mastery of the weaponry as well as to help you find strategies to help you in real games against your friends. You also get missions and the more you succeed the more multiplayer maps you unlock to use during your own single player matches to get a hang on things and create your own strategies for each different terrain! The terrains themselves are a lot of fun ranging from islands to ship-wrecked boats to fortresses and of course – jails – all at your possession to put your opponent in a position he deserves to be in. You get to name your worms, select a unique signature weapon for your worms team such as a homing pigeon or the deadly granny. The game also offers different field characteristics such as mine explosion sensitivity and speed or the power of health crates that drop down on you. You also get to customize your mode – so you can have a double damage mode or a beginner mode where everything is as you’d expect it to be till you get more experienced.

Worms also has a very playable graphics based on bubbles and circles and funny pictures that relates to the inner child in you. The animations are also interesting and funny as well. With funny animations such as explosions or worms flying through the air the game gives a touch of reality and credibility with very close to reality animations and reactions – the physics of it is perfect. The sound in the game is very interesting with nice quotes your worms call out and funny voices that you choose – whether it ranges from alien voices to voices with cultural accents or even robotic voices. So what happens when your worm dies? Well it has its own grave and you get to choose your own tombstone – whatever shape you want it to be from a preselected range of gravestones. There are also online features – featuring head to head real-time turn-based online play against some of the best and world’s most experienced worms players to even set foot on planet worms over the n-gage arena.

Worms gets you to think of tactics – whether to use girders to trap your opponent; to kill off one of your own worms so you have a speed advantage or to kill your opponent to have a number advantage. Other tactics could range from shooting your opponent into a lake – worms can’t swim sadly – or even forcing your opponent to waste his weapons. In worms you control the weapons; the tactics; the map; the effects; the worms and the game! With great sound effects and playable enjoyable graphics – this is a game not to miss on a great console as the n-gage.

Deegg, don't take this offensively, but your post wasn't actually a review, it was more of an essay. And written with terrible english. Only a few sentences in the whole post were reviewing. Do you even know what you were supposed to write? :smileyvery-happy:

And sorry sunny, but I'm also doing about WWP :smileyhappy:

Worms World Party
Platform: N-Gage
Publisher: THQ Wireless
Developer: Paragon 5
Released: 2005

When I was told to write a review of this game, I thought it would just be another poorly done clone of the original PC games, with a whopping arsenal of two different weapons and three landscapes to choose from. Well, I was correct to some extent. The "clone" part was right.
For those who have played the PC version of Worms World Party, now is when you should get excited. It's almost exactly the same, with only a few differences, for example a slightly smaller arsenal (the longbow, suicide bomb and the fire weapons are gone), a limited number of teams (10, which should still be enough for all except those who often play with big groups of friends), only 13 speech sets and dumber A.I. The fire weapons I can understand, a huge amount of napalm on the landscape even takes up a lot of processor power on the PC, I don't even want to imagine what this would to to the N-Gage.
For new players, this is where you should get excited, if you already haven't. In Worms World Party you control a team of up to 8 worms, and your only objectives are to kill and to refrain from getting killed. Gameplay is turn-based, and every turn there's a possibility that a health or weapon crate will come floating down your way. Of course, your time isn't unlimited: if you waste too much time chasing those crates or digging yourself to safety, you'd better be prepared for sudden death mode. Rising water, poisoned worms, all the works. Of course, this option can always be turned off for those who like a slow-paced, leisurely game.
At your disposal you have a humongous variety of over 50 weapons and utilities, ranging from the classical bazooka and grenade to the Super Banana Bomb and Holy Hand Grenade, with everything including exploding sheep, the Indian Nuclear Test, old women and jet packs in between. If you're lucky, you might even get hold of the legendary Concrete Donkey which is guaranteed to wet each of your opponents' pants.
The whacky multiplayer fun has always been what makes Worms so popular, and it hasn't been forgotten on this version either. You can play with up to three friends by either hot-seat (yes, that means four players on just one N-Gage!), Bluetooth, or even go online on the N-Gage Arena, where you'll almost definitely always find someone to play with.
For those who don't have any friends to play with and are fed up with easy victories over the computer player, behold! WWP gives you loads of single-player fun with its 19 training levels covering all of the most important weapons and tactics in the game (try to beat your high score and then beat it again), and loads of incredibly challenging single-player missions, some taking dozens of tries before you pass them! And as if the missions alone weren't fun enough to play, completing them awards you with unlockable maps! Now is that cool or what?
The graphics are stunning. Remember, we're still talking about a mobile phone here. There's almost no noticable change to the computer version, apart from the (obviously) much smaller screen and minimally reduced pixels. The levels are cheerful and colorful, unless you're fighting in hell (yes, that's also an option for you over-sadistic monsters who aren't content with killing your opponent once). You can select from a wide variety of landscape styles; you can fight on the Manhattan, on turf made of cheese, on a sports stadium or even on the Easter Islands! And if you're not happy with the randomly created landscapes, there's many pre-drawn ones that are sure to amuse you.
Apart from the graphics, what really builds the game's atmosphere is the sounds. The background soundtracks will definitely get you in the right mood, and you just never get bored of them! You can make your worms speak in many different styles, try rasta, scotsman or sports reporter for kicks. There are different sounds for every occasion in the game: running out of time, surrendering, accidentally shooting an ally, jumping... And don't get surprised with the sudden scream when you're just about to get blown up.
Worms World Party is clearly the best choice in N-Gage games. It's a near-perfect game, which always offers you something to do! This should be everybody's number one priority.

Review for FIFA 2005

Graphics

The improvements included in the graphic engine of the 2005 version are substantial if you compare the game with last year's. It has improved more than the appearance of the players this time are much more polished and do not appear as a mass of pictures last year. Its size has been increased slightly so that they are more proportionate to the size of the stadiums, their edges refined and animations, but not noted for its quantity, have been improved.

The quality of repetition, we can continue from different points of view (compared with a single camera in FIFA 2004) and moving the camera around the game thanks to the good work done in the graphics engine. We can repeat the last 10 seconds of the match pressing the button 9, there will be repetitions automatic after each goal and at the end of each game, a kind of abstract. The goals scored and recorded, we can send them to any friend of the N-Gage Arena and even download them from our computer.

Music

The inclusion of a soundtrack extensive and contrasting quality is a very detail to be taken into account, since it is not something usual in the N-Gage titles. Both quality for quantity, the soundtrack of FIFA Football 2005 is the best of this console. Songs like Clorofila, Paul Oakenfold, Future Funk Squad, Australians Inxs, classic electronics as New Order ...

Although the quality sampling is not very high, even using headphones, the music section is well covered. As for the sound effects, scratches also to a large extent with the digitization of all sounds of the field

Gameplay

Team allows us to choose between the major European leagues (and other secondary): First and Second Division Spanish Premier League, First, Second and Third Division English, Portuguese League, Serie A and B Italian League Dutch,  First Division Mexican, Bundesliga in its two divisions and many other minor leagues as the Austrian, Danish, Finnish, Scottish ... We can challenge a Copa America club, a FIFA international (which is like a World Cup), Cup competitions in various countries (including the Copa del Rey)

Conclusions

This 2005 edition is virtually the same as the previous year. It has improved graphics, increased the amount of songs, multiplied the number of game modes ... But basically, the game is the same. You can repeat the same techniques and routines that you used in the 2004 version, find the same holes in the defense, find the same level in the artificial intelligence of the opponents ... It is as if FIFA 2004 has received a good face washing which has left more beautiful on the outside, but hides in the background as well.

This does not mean that the game is not fun, because it is. The large number of game modes including the FIFA license that allows names of real players and teams, including the challenges, their spirit arcade, its dizzying gameplay, enhanced multiplayer options ... Make up a title and verging attractive to a good standard

hey!! my review is about System Rush... sorry for lang :smileysad:

SYSTEM RUSH

System Rush is a title totally arcade, ideal for fast games and without complications, apt to play five minutes in the train or to connect themselves at any time to the Sand and to enjoy its multiple possibilities online. A good graphical section and a fit controls, that gets to be difficult although without becoming unbearable, conform a product excellent, although free of originality from a game able point of view and history that in spite of its airs of greatness will return to you crazy. The argument of this arcade futurist locates to us in global surroundings where by confusion we are confused with cyber terrorist that have robbed our designed computer science code, in principle, for positive aims. Behind this vandalic act a this powerful multinational that wishes to appropriate itself the communication networks. In honor to our work, justice and the equality we will have to infiltrate in the networks and to give back the world order to us to its normality. Each network is represented by a circuit of races in which on board of a futurist vehicle (denominated Co-vecs) we must advance fighting to obtain the first position. Between averages, the plot to us will be told through draws that they mix drawing techniques that go from animates to comic European. In our fight against the cyber terrorists we will have to compete throughout five different locations, Russia, Latin America, North America, Europe and Japan. Altogether they add more than 50 different circuits, although the scene is practically invariable within each geographic zone. We will be able to visit surroundings located in Paris, Chicago, Lima, Tokyo or Moscow and although the conceptualist does not allow us to savor the surroundings like in more realistic titles, if we will be able to recognize locations or monuments like the Eiffel Tower or the Statue of the Freedom.

Graphics (8.5)

The graphical motor is consistent and it does not undergo shutdowns nor any other type of lagoons, being able to move with easy the visual equipment with which it is tried to assault our senses. The speed sensation that is obtained this way is than acceptable more for a portable device, mainly from the inner Vista (there are three available ones) that will make appreciate yet details to the vertigo of downgrades or inertia us in the closed curves. And you either do not lose detail of the complete repetitions that will show our progresses to us in each race.

Music and sound FX (9.5)

A title of races does not exist based on the future that does not have a sound track of electronic cut. In this case one becomes to repeat the scheme and the critical moment and techno dominate the loudness of the game. The good news for the lovers of the electronics, not as much for the rest of mortals who although will accept a pair of listening willingly, as a circuit resists finish crazy of as much sound machine to them. As far as the sound effects they are quite basic and tremendously repetitive in the mid term, something below the average of the rest of the game.

 Controls (8)

We began to play both choosing between one of personages available, the young Ikko Asian or to a boy, Vert. Independently of the personage that we choose the form to play will not be affected, although if that we will be able to discover different parts of history at certain moments. Once chosen we will happen to choose in as of the networks we want to compete: KGBX (Russia), Highlife (South America), Heavenly Dollar (North America), Sosecure (Europe) or Fatdaddy (Japan). We can begin to play in anyone of the networks, as well as to happen from one to another one as soon as we have completed any race, reason why the freedom to progress is almost absolute.

 Arena (10)

Finally, to emphasize one of the most interesting aspects of System Rush, that he is not other that the interconnection capacity that offers, as well as the possibilities to discover existing in the N-Gage Arena. For that they are not satisfied to playing in solitaire, they will be able to compete in several ways of ghost race, raising his score rankings global, to unblock new vehicles, to see videos of the progresses of other players (well-known like Hack TV) and, of course, to contact with other possessors of System Rush through the forums and acceding to his profiles.

My review: Super monkey Ball!

For those unfamiliar with the game, Super Monkey Ball is what you would call an arcade style board-tilting puzzler with four playable characters - Aiai, Meemee, Baby, and Gongon. This instalment of the game has two modes, the main game and a collection of 3 minigames (monkey target, monkey race, and monkey fight) which  are unlocked by playing the main game. In the main game, you can either choose the "Practice mode",  where you, well, practice; or the "Normal Mode", where you control  your character (or the surroundings, rather) to a "goal" that will let you pass onto the next stages. Each stage gets progressively more difficult as you go on.

There are three difficulty levels, where each level has its own distinct boards. You have 10 stages to clear in the beginner, 15 in advanced, and 20 on the expert mode.

The mini games are fun to play at first, but they tend to get boring after a few games. In Monkey Target, you have to launch and glide you monkey in the air and try to land on a platform. Monkey race is a fun game where you race in "mario kart" style, but the "pickups" are a bit limited. In monkey fight, you play a four-way boxing game where you try to punch your opponents out of the ring. About the game physics, core graphics are quite good, but the textures are a bit pixelated and bland, and the frame rate is a tad lower than on other platforms.

There are no multiplayer or Arena options either (although there isn't much to do for a game of this genre on the arena anyway), but the sounds in the game are pleasing, and even though the character selection is limited, they're cute all the same.

Controls are pretty straight forward, just use the D-Pad to move the player (or tilt the board, however you want to look at it). There isnt anything else to control anyway and no special moves.

Overall, this game is quite fun, challenging and useful on those long and boring bus rides home.

Civilization
If you’ve ever played the earlier Civilization games on PC, you pretty much know what you’re going to get with Civilization for N-Gage. But how well does Civilization turn out on the N-Gage?

First disappointment: no multiplayer. A turn based strategy game is perfectly suited for playing on a mobile handheld device, yet the makers of Civilization chose not to support it. One reason might have been that the game itself takes very long time to play and expecting people to stick through long gaming sessions might be unrealistic.

Second disappointment: small and unclear graphics. The game contains loads of different icons. Because of the relatively small size of the screen, some of these have been made so small that it is hard to recognize them and sometimes also hard to distinguish them from each other. This can be very problematic, especially if you are playing the game for the first time. However, eventually the icons become familiar, and the more you play, the less likely you are to notice this problem.

Third disappointment: lengthy AI turns. When playing a game, especially a Horde Campaign, the AI turns tend to grow very long. This is worsened by the fact, that often the player has very limited things to do. Watching the AI first move 20 units and then ending your own turn just to watch those 20 units move again does not make for very exciting gameplay.

Disappointments aside, Civilization is still a good game. Once you get to know the game mechanics (which are very well presented when playing on a tutorial level), the game grows on you and becomes quite addictive. Not only does it keep you up late at night playing ‘just one more turn’, but completing a game always leaves you wanting to try it again , just to see if you can do a little better this time. Having it on a handheld device is great because you never know when you get the chance to play a round or two.

So to summarize, Civilization brings no surprises to people who have played it on PC. For first time players the learning curve might be e bit too high on the handheld. However, if you are a fan of Civilization, and want to have a version you can play while on the move, I recommend this without hesitation. A solid 8/10.
Kudos!

Second time I write this, as it gave me an error message the first time :smileymad:
Here we go! :smileyvery-happy:

Pocket Kingdom: Own the World

Concept.
The game is an mobile MMO battle game where players around the world fight, chat, trade and most of all: FIGHT!
The game is set in the "Map of Ulgress" and has many areas for the player to searvch items, battle bots and players and chat.
The game takes itself with humor, as the units in the game KNOW they are units, and have witty punchlines and some of them are rolplayers and leet speakers!

What is your quest?
You basically build you pocket kingdoms army and start a huge massacre agiants players around the world to make it to the top of the All Time Owner Board! While you do this, you can make friends with other players who can sell you items, give tips, or help you by ganing up on others!

Engarde!
The battle system is quite different you might see in other games. Instead of directly controlling them, you manage your party by setting the up the units, items and strategies they use in battle. When that is done, just send em in and enjoy the show! Its a lot like a football manager, except instead of playing footy, they are trying to cut each others guts out!

Community!
There was a huge community around Pocket Kingdom, before it started losing popularity because of a certain bug.
This community, I believe, was built on the players chats, tradings and battles.

Sounds and grafix.
The grafix are almost totally sprite! Every unit and character portrait is in sprite! The backgrounds seem to be more like "hand drwan/painted", like in the original Final Fantasy VII on the PS1.
The sounds, are quite bad. The music is a 15 second loop and the sound effects start to repat themselves.

Flaws!
For a mobile game, this is wery time consuming, and thats a bad thing for mobiles. It might take you 30 minutes to get what you want in one session. Also, there are some ingame bugs that cause some of the status effects in battles to last to the end of the battle, and sometimes you did't get ranking points!
And the most serious of them all, is the dreaded save file corruption bug! This wipes ALL of your game data away and you have to start over! No wonder this game lost its popularity! Its like Sega kind of hurried this product.
One minor flaw are the menus. Thers too many of them! You got an N-Gage with 12 keys ready for gaming and we are using 2? Why not have a bunch of hotkeys for quick access to rankup, party and all other vital menus?

Over all, this game is quite fun, and the save file corruption occurs WERY rarely!

I'll give it an 8,5 / 10

There you go!
Hope its that 300 words! :smileytongue:
